FusionInventory discovers nothing - Xefan - 2010-09-14

Hi! I have GLPI 0.72.4 with FusionInventory Plugin 2.2.2. So I install agent on the same computer as GLPI (OS Windows Vista) and now can see a computer in "Agent Configuration".
When I choose "Device discovery" I see that agent runs, but nothing is changed.

Please help me to discover my devices and software.

You must create an IPrange, associate this IPRange with agent and activate discovery on this IP range.

On Agent configuration (always in GLPI), activate discovery (you must enable in first discovery module in configuration of plugin)

The IP Range is set up, associated with agent and discovery is on.
Also discovery is on in agent properties.

Should all the empty field of associated computer (hardware, etc.) be filled after the discovery finishes?

No, discovery "only" detect some informations (name , ip, mac, serial) of devices connected on your network. They are stored in menu "unknown devices"

You want to inventory your computers?

Yes!
Do I need to make something like "perl snmpquery.pm" ?
I have just installed the agent and configured the server path

but inventory your computers need to have an agent on each computer, you're ok with it ?

FusionInventory discovers nothing - Xefan - 2010-09-14

Yes, I know it
I want to try it on my computer first and then deploy it on the network

Please help me to figure out why I get nothing with FusionInventory. May be something special must be configured on the client side?

Oh ok, for the moment fusion agent must send it's inventory to OCS INVENTORY server (we're writing it in GLPI and will be available end of year), so the url of server is : http://yourip/ocsinventory.

We have some patchs to put all in UTF-8 if you have problems with it.

So I must install ocs inventory plugin on glpi or install the whole ocs inventory server to manage data?

install the whole inventory server for the moment
