[GLPI 0.84.5][FI 0.84+2.1]Networkinventory Printers
#1
Networkdiscovery found some Printers, but it is impossible to inventory them.

FI even tell me that "No devices to inventory"

Same on UPS

Did I missed something?

THX for help,

Best,
Meg

Use plugin version 0.84+2.2 and agent > version 2.3.4 and it will be better

Thank a lot.

Have installed plugin on mageia via uprmi. 2.2 isn't available.

Whats the recommended upgrade procedure? Removing rpm and using tar? or leaving rpm as it is and only overwrite the Folder in plugins?

Sorry, but I can't find any documentation how to upgrade from
Code:
glpi-plugin-fusioninventory : FusionInventory GLPI plugin ( 1:0.84+2.1-1.mga5 )
to
Code:
fusioninventory-for-glpi_0.84+2.2.tar.gz

So, what I would do is a urpme glpi-plugin-fusioninventory and than extracting the tar to the plugin Folder. But I do not know if this is a working upgrade solution!?

There are only Agent builds. But Agent is up2date (2.3.7.1)

Also I didn't know if it is very clever to use a SuSE rpm in Mageia.

So again the question, will it ok to remove the rpm which provides fusioninventory plugin and uses the tar Archiv?
Or will this procedure not working?

You have devices in menu assets > networks and/or assets > printers ?

Must be yes, and with it, must have an IP and a SNMP authentication

I've found the bug. It has nothing to do with the Version. FusionInventory seems not autoassign the right mib to the device. After pressing the button "load right model" both Version inventarizised the devices fine.

With last version of plugin and Agent, you can inventory without model

I know you say that with the latest FI inv and agent, this should work, but I am am seeing the same problem.

glpi-fusioninventory.noarch 1:0.84.0.2.2-1.el6.remi
fusioninventory-agent.noarch 2.3.8-1.2 @home_guillomovitch

fusioninventory-agent-task-inventory-2.3.8-1.2.noarch
fusioninventory-agent-task-network-2.3.8-1.2.noarch

update:

The problem is thers if automatic agent selection is enabled and model is set blank.

If the agent is explicitly specified, the function works properly.

I see similar problems with SNMP switch inventory - it won't work if automatic agent selection (same subnet) is enabled
- sometimes fails if automatic agent selection is enabled
- always works if agents are explicitly selected.

Hi, all,

In some printers, the network inventory agent brings information about MAC (appears at import information tab) but it doesn't appear at network ports tab. Why doesn't it appear?

Thanks in advances,

Alexandre

Will this produce the same information as inventory with model?

Why device must be in network or printer? What about computer, ups, devices etc?
How to get an device from FI-> Unknown devices to assets?
