gpli+fusioninventory: Force Client Update
#1
Hi,

I installed gpli+fusioninventory and got a first Inventory from a Testcomputer to gpli. How can I force/speed up updating this TestComputer?

Thanks for Help

Under General Configuration in FusionInventory Plugin Settings you can set the Inventory frequency in hours. That is the time, after how many hours the client contacts the server.

If you want to force an inventory from Server Side just click on the Computer in Assets Tab - > FusInv Agent -> ForceInventory
If you want to force it on Client Side open the Webinterface on http://localhost:62354 and run an inventory from there

hmmm... The Computer was inventoried with the client (yesterday) and to day, with no changing, glpi shows in Assets Tab - > FusInv Agent -> ForceInventory
"Can`t communicate with agent!"
If I press the link next to Agent I got: "last contact 2016-07-07 11:05" what`s 5 Minutes ago?!?!?

Is it correct that there is no button, only Next server target execution planned for:
$IP/glpi/plugins/fusioninventory/: Thu Jul 7 12:03:14 2016

Is is a Windows Agent or a Linux Agent? If Linux, in which mode is the agent running? Cron or Daemon?

It`s a Windows Agent, running as service.

Interesting, the "History" of the Computer (In German "Verlauf") is correct, maybe the view "Can`t communicate with agent!" is buggy?

For me it is working without any problems. Are server and client in the same network/subnet? Is there a firewall between Server and Client?
Can you please check the IP under Computer --> Netzwerkports if it is the right IP of the client? As far as I know, the client cannot resolve the name by DNS but it is using the IP which was sent on last inventory.

any btw it is not normal that there is no button on the local webinterface, only when the inventory is running right now. Did you check the Agent log if an inventory was running today?

nope, no settings of fqdn or IP-Adress. The only changes I did had been at the network interface. Here you can found the same with Loglevel 2. Have a look for the third last row and the missing http. In the fourthlast its there...

It looks like you added a wrong link to your server on agent side. What value is set for server in registry under HKLM\Software\FusionInventory-Agent

it should look like http://FQDN/glpi/plugins/fusioninventory or http://IP/glpi/plugins/fusioninventory

With a final ´/ at the end of the URL
GLPI 9.4.4 - Fusioninventory for GLPI 9.4+1.0 - Fusioninventory Agent 2.5.1

Httpd-trust and server is the same IP. Looks correct, doesn't it?

httpd-trust should be (also) your localhost address. Probably thats the problem why you dont see the force inventory button. Could you please replace your server IP with 127.0.0.1/32 for httpd-trust and restart the service?

Okey, now it's possible to trigger the update...
But in the Inventory-view of glpi ist still written the last update="the date of first inventory"

Thanks for your help, but I think I will look for an other solution...
