Hi everybody,

I'm interested in knowing about if it's possible to have installed both tracker and fusioninventory on the same server and use either of them.

Is it possible?

Thanks in adavance.

Yes, but FusionInventory have Tracker inside (FusionInventory is a fusion of Tracker and OCS unified agent).

You can use the two, but fusioninventory (released one month ago) have better features than Tracker (released 1 year ago)

Are you sure?

When I install fusioninventory on my system, where tracker was previously installed and working normally, the tracker's tables in glpi database were dropped and tracker option is not available in plugins menu.

yes, because name of tracker in changed in FusionInventory.

So you have SNMP in FusionInventory (with other good thinks).

Think agent Tracker is finished and now you must use FusionInventory agent with 2 modules (NETDISCOVERY and SNMPQUERY). See in Download menu for that (on top of this page)

I'm sorry but i'm not sure if i've understood you. Then tracker plugin is "converted" to a fusioninventory option/section, isn't it?

yes but integrated in FusionInventory, so you don't have trace of Tracker name :p

So, you don't require now "Tracker" plugin and may use FusionInventory plugin
